BETTY LITTLE'S CRANBERRY COFFEE
CAKE
 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 pt. commercial sour cream
1 (7 oz.) can cranberry sauce
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, ending with dry ingredients. Add vanilla. Put 1/2 of the batter in tube pan, then add 1/2 of the cranberry sauce. Add 1/2 of the nuts, then the remaining batter. Spread remaining cranberry sauce and top with remaining nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. Freezes very well.
