1 3/4 c. cornmeal
4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. onion, chopped
1 egg, beaten
2 c. boiling water

Mix and sift all dry ingredients. Add chopped onion and beat egg. Pour boiling water over dry mixture stirring constantly until mixture is smooth. Add more water if necessary. Drop by spoonfuls into deep hot fat. Fantastic with a fresh fish fry!
