ALABAMA POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 1 lb. butter 4 c. sifted flour (plain) 1 dozen eggs 2 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar to consistency of thick cream. Add 2 tablespoons flour and one egg, alternately until all is used, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Bake in a well greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 55 minutes. Start in a cold oven. This makes a large cake. |
