LEMON CRINKLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. lemon extract
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream together butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs and lemon extract; beat well. Sift dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture. Shape into 1 1/2" balls, roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
