CHERRY CHEESE CAKE | |
1 pkg. Duncan Hines deluxe yellow cake mix 2 tbsp. butter 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 1/2 c. milk 1 lb. 5 oz. can cherry pie filling 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 3 tbsp. lemon juice 3 tbsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Pour 1 cup of cake mix in large bowl. Add 1 egg and oil. Mix well. Mixture will be crumbly. Press into crust mixture, evenly placing on the bottom and 3/4 up the sides of a greased 9x13x2 inch pan. In the same bowl, blend cream cheese and sugar, 3 eggs and balance of cake mix. Beat in mixture at medium speed for 1 minute. Lower speed and slowly add milk and flavoring. When mixture is smooth, pour into crust. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Add cherries on top of cake. |
