MILE HIGH STRAWBERRY DESSERT 
2 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1 pt. frozen & thawed strawberries or 1 pt. fresh strawberries
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1 oblong angel food cake
1 square carton strawberry ice cream

In a large mixer bowl place egg whites, sugar and thawed strawberries or fresh. Beat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. When bowl is filled (and it will), stir in Cool Whip. Slice angel food cake into 1/2" slices. Place these (to cover bottom) in 9"x13" glass baking dish. Slice ice cream 1/2" thick and cover angel food cake then pour the strawberry mixture over ice cream. It will pile high, cover with wax paper and foil and freeze overnight or longer. Can use graham cracker crumbs if desired instead of cake and sprinkle crumbs over top to add a finish.
