SQUASH CASSEROLE 
1 lb. yellow squash
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 egg
1/2 c. grated cheese
1/2 c. chopped pimento, opt.
1 tsp. salt
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. bread crumbs

Cook squash until tender. Add butter and mash. Mix sugar, egg and mayonnaise. Mix salt, onion and pimento with these mixtures together then add squash. Pour mixture into buttered dish. Top with bread crumbs and cheese. Dot with butter and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
