PEANUT BUTTER CRUNCHES | |
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. white sugar 1 egg 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. peanut butter 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder Cream butter and peanut butter together. Add sugar gradually, cream thoroughly. Add egg. Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together; add to creamed mixture. Chopped peanuts may be added if desired. Form into balls the size of a walnut and place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly with fingers. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in moderate oven. Makes from 2 to 4 dozen. (350 degree oven) |
