BANANA-DATE BREAD | |
3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. mashed bananas 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped dates 1 c. chopped nuts Cream sugar and shortening thoroughly. Add bananas and lemon juice. Mix flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture with dates and nuts, stirring only enough to moisten flour. Pour into well greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
