H.'S CHEESECAKE 
PASTRY:

1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter, sugar and egg until light and fluffy. Add flour and baking powder. Knead until mixture becomes firm. Place in a greased 10 inch springform cake pan. Shape it so it is about 3/4 inch high around the edges.

FILLING:

3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix cream cheese, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add vanilla and sour cream. Continue mixing. Add cornstarch. Pour mixture into pastry shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
