HOT 'N SPICY SAUCE 
3/4 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper

In large saucepan, cook sausage, onion, green pepper and garlic until sausage is brown. Drain fat. Carefully stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, oregano, basil, pepper and red pepper. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Cover, simmer for 30 minutes. Then uncover, simmer for 10 to 15 minutes more to desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Serve sauce over pasta. Makes 4 servings.
