APPLESAUCE SPICE CAKE | |
1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. applesauce 4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. chopped nuts 1 c. raisins Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, applesauce and beat well. Combine dry ingredients, stir into the applesauce mixture, add nuts and raisins. Pour into greased and floured pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, or until cake shrinks from side of the pan. Cool in pans 30 minutes, then turn onto cake rack until cold. We eat it plain, no frosting. |
