NEVER FAIL POUND CAKE 
3/4 c. butter
3 c. plain flour
3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
5 lg. eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat after each. Mix dry ingredients and add to mixture alternating with milk. Add flavoring. Spoon mixture into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
