BROWN SUGAR DUMPLING 
SYRUP:

1 c. brown sugar
2 c. boiling water

Cook until the mixture is a thin syrup.

BATTER:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts (optional)

Mix the batter mixture. Pour the syrup mixture in a baking dish, pour the batter over the syrup. Bake for 20-25 minutes in 350 degree oven. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
