HOT DRIED BEEF SPREAD 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. dried beef, cut into very sm. pieces
1 c. boiling water
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. unsalted pecans or walnuts
3 tbsp. finely chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. dehydrated onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. sour cream

Pour boiling water over dried beef and drain immediately. Set aside. Combine cream cheese and milk. Stir until blended. Add dried beef and remaining ingredients. Stir well. Spoon into an 8" pie plate and bake 20 minutes in 350 degree oven. Serve warm with a variety of crackers.
