2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening

Combine and mix until crumbly. Reserve 1/2 cup to sprinkle over batter.

To remaining crumbs add and mix thoroughly:

2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Add 1 cup sour milk and 2 well beaten eggs. Mix well. Chopped nuts, or sesame seeds and cinnamon and sugar may be sprinkle over crumbs. 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
