BREAKFAST CASSEROLE | |
6-8 slices bread, torn up 1 lb. cooked ham, sausage or bacon, cut up 3/4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded 4-6 eggs 2 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt, optional 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 stick butter, melted (may be less) Toss bread and meat in greased glass 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over mixture. Beat egg until foamy; beat in remaining ingredients except butter. Pour evenly over meat mixture. Pour melted butter over all. Cover with foil. Refrigerate overnight. Uncover in morning and bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees. Makes 6-8 servings. |
