1 box white cake mix
1 can apples (in heavy syrup)
1 stick butter

Spread apples into baking dish. Sprinkle 1/2 to 3/4 box of dry cake mix over apples. Cut stick of butter into small squares. Drop butter pieces onto cake mix, covering top of it. Bake at 350 degrees until browned.
