NUT HORNS 
3 c. flour
1 yeast cake
1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
3/4 c. evaporated milk

Crumble yeast in flour work in shortening like pie pastry. Add eggs and milk. Work dough until it pulls from side of bowl. Form balls and chill 2 hours. Roll out each ball with powdered sugar, add the filling and roll up. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

FILLING:

1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. hot milk
1 egg white, beaten
1/2 lb. box dates
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Water

Add water to cover, cook until mushy. Add nuts and vanilla. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
