PEACH COBBLER 
2 to 3 c. sliced peaches
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
3/4 c. milk

Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar. Put butter in deep square cake pan and set in oven to melt. Stir up batter of 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Put peaches on top.

Bake 1 hour in 350°F oven or until golden brown. Batter rises to top during baking.
