WALNUT SQUARES 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cornstarch

FILLING:

4 eggs
1 (1 lb.) pkg. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. walnuts
1 lg. pkg. coconut
4 tbsp. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour, cornstarch and add to butter. Mix, spread and press into bottom of 11 1/2 x 17 1/2 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 300°F. While this is baking make filling.

Filling: Beat eggs and brown sugar. Add flour, baking powder and vanilla. Beat. Add walnuts and coconut. Bake at 300°F for 25 minutes, then 350°F degrees for 5 minutes. Cool and frost.

WALNUT SQUARES FROSTING:

1 cube butter
1 (1 lb.) box. powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix all ingredients and frost walnut squares.
