2 c. raisins
2 1/2 c. boiling water
4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
4 tbsp. oil
4 c. white flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts; optional

Mix raisins, boiling water, and soda; cover and let set overnight. Do NOT drain.

Mix rest of ingredients together and add raisin/water mixture. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Makes 2 large loaves.
