HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
8 potatoes, about 4 lbs. 8 slices bacon, diced 3 tbsp. bacon drippings 3/4 c. onion, chopped 2 tsp. flour 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 1 c. water Cook potatoes. Peel and dice. Keep warm. Fry bacon until crisp. Drain and measure three tablespoons drippings. Cook onions in 3 tablespoons drippings. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and sugar. Gradually add vinegar and water. Bring to a boil. Pour over potatoes. Add bacon and mix gently. |
