STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM PIE | |
15 oz. pkg. Pillsbury already pie crusts 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 1/3 c. sugar 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1 c. whip cream (whipped) 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 4 c. fresh hulled strawberries 1 tbsp. shortening Prepare pie crust according to directions for unfilled one crust 9 inch pie pan. Prick crust on all sides and bake at 425 degrees for 9-11 minutes. In large bowl beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar and extract; blend well. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon into cooled pie crust. Arrange strawberries pointed side up over filling. Chill. In small saucepan over low heat melt chocolate chips and shortening, stirring. Drizzle chocolate over strawberries and filling. Chill until set. |
