BEEF PASTIES 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
5 tbsp. ice water, approx.

FILLING:

1+ c. meat
1 c. diced potatoes
1/4 - 1 c. beef gravy (or 1/4 c. water)
Dash pepper and salt
1 tsp. prepared mustard
Minced onion

Preheat oven 425 degrees.

Prepare pastry. Roll out 4 (8 inch) circles. Divide filling among circles. Moisten pastry edges with water. Draw up edges and over top of filling. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Continue until potatoes are tender (45 minutes).
