APPLE CRISP 
4 c. apples
1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. butter
cinnamon to taste
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg

Put apples in bottom of baking dish. Pour water over apples, then dot with butter and cinnamon.

Mix together the remaining ingredients, work in until it is like a corn meal mixture, and sprinkle over apples.

Bake at 350°F for about 30 to 40 minutes. Check with toothpick for doneness.
