1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 c. moist mincemeat

Cream shortening and sugar together. Blend in egg and flavoring. Add flour sifted with baking powder and salt. Blend in mincemeat. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
