NUT CHEWS 
1/4 lb. melted butter
1 lb. chopped pecans
1 can condensed milk
8 oz. container glace red cherries
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. graham crackers
1 c. flaked coconut

1. Put melted butter in a 9x12 baking pan.

2. Crush graham crackers (very fine) and layer over melted butter.

3. Layer chopped pecans over crackers.

4. Layer coconut over pecans.

5. Layer chocolate chips over pecans.

6. Pour condensed milk over all - make sure milk covers all ingredients.

7. Dot with candied cherries.

8. bake for 15 to 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

9. Cut into 1 to 2 inch squares while still warm, not hot.

10. Remove from baking pan to finish cooling.

Use 1 bag nuts or 1 1/2 cups shelled nuts - any other kind of nut may be used.

Use enough graham crackers so that layer is 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
