FESTIVE TAMALE PIE 
3/4 to 1 lb. ground meat
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green pepper
2 (8 oz.) or 1 (15 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (15 oz.) can corn, drained
1 c. chopped ripe olives
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 c. shredded sharp, Velveeta, or both, cheeses
1 pkg. Jiffy corn meal topping, prepared
2-3 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
Pepper
1 tbsp. sugar

Cook onion, garlic, and green pepper until tender, but not brown. Add meat and brown lightly. Add tomato sauce, corn, olives, sugar, and seasonings. Simmer 20-25 minutes or until thick. Add cheese and stir until melted. Pour into greased baking dish. Top with corn bread and bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Serves 4.
