SCALLOPED POTATOES 
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
6 med. size potatoes
1 lg. onion, chopped

In medium saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk-stir constantly until full boil-remove from heat. Peel potatoes and slice thinly. Peel and chop onion. Layer half of potatoes and onions in 2 quarts casserole. Pour half the sauce over. Layer rest of potatoes and onions on top. Cover with rest of sauce.

Bake covered in 350 degree oven for 50 minutes. Uncover and bake for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
