WURSTENBROOD 
1 bread recipe
3 lbs. ground beef or pork
3/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. oatmeal
2 eggs (beaten)
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt

MEAT SEASONINGS:

Spicy: 2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cayenne pepper

HERBED:

1 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. thyme

Combine ground meat, onion, oatmeal, eggs, pepper, garlic and salt. Season meat spicy, herbed or half and half, (cut amounts of seasonings in half if making 1/2 and 1/2.) Roll meat into links, about 4 inches long. Place on a cookie sheet or pan and freeze slightly for easier handling. Roll out a small piece of dough. Wrap sausage in dough and cut away excess. Place roll on a cookie sheet with the seam down. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
