SWEET AND SOUR - MAUREEN'S 
Spare ribs
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. catsup
2 tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. water from ribs

Divide ribs into sections, put in flat roaster and almost cover with water, add pinch of salt. Simmer 1 1/2 hours, uncovered. Make sauce by mixing sugar, corn starch and mustard. Combine vinegar, catsup and rib water and mix with dry ingredients. After removing all liquid from roaster, pour sauce over ribs. Simmer another hour.
