BUTTERNUT CAKE | |
1 c. shortening 2 c. sugar 2 c. plain flour 4 eggs 1 c. self-rising flour 2 tbsp. vanilla 1 c. milk 2 tbsp. butternut flavoring Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until smooth. Add flour along with milk a little at a time. Add flavorings and beat well. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool. FROSTING: 1 box 10X sugar 1 stick butter 1 1/2 c. coconut 8 oz. cream cheese 1 c. chopped pecans 1 tbsp. butternut flavoring Mix well and spread on cooled cake one layer at a time. Put pecans and coconut on each layer and side. |
