BEER BATTER CHICKEN 
1 3/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
12 oz. can beer
Vegetable oil
5 lb. cut - up chicken

Combine flour, salt and pepper in medium sized bowl. Beat in beer with wire whisk. Let stand 30 minutes. Pour enough oil in frying pan to cover 1 inch in depth. Heat to 375 degrees. Dip chicken into beer batter, a few at a time. Allow excess to drain off. Fry pieces, turning once, for 30 minutes or until done. Drain on paper towel. Keep warm in 250 degree oven until all pieces are done.
