SPICED OATMEAL RAISIN DROPS 
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups quick-cooking oats
2 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisins

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine oats, flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in raisins. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Yield: 4-1/2 dozen.
