BEAN RELISH 
1 lb. can whole green beans
1/3 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. dill
1 tsp. mixed pickling spices
1 tsp. salt

Combine liquid from the beans with all the above ingredients. Simmer 5 minutes. Then add beans and heat through. Cool in liquid and drain. Mix beans, 1 onion (cut in thin rings), and 1 tablespoon salad oil. Chill.
