1 c. applesauce
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (butter)
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. flour (maybe more, but don't make too stiff dough)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves (scant)

Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven.
