BAKED APPLES 
4 lg. baking apples (6 oz. each), i.e. Rome
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. finely chopped nuts and/or raisins
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water

1. Core apples, leaving small plug in blossom end, peel skin 1 inch from top. Combine sugar, nuts, raisins and cinnamon; fill apples with mixture.

2. In baking dish, arrange apples; dot with butter and sprinkle with water. Heat, covered, 6 to 7 1/2 minutes on HIGH, turning dish once. Let stand 5 minutes; serve warm or chilled, spooning sauce over apples. Makes four servings.

For two servings: Halve all ingredients. Heat apples 3 to 4 minutes on HIGH.
