Put 1 quart perfect ripe beach plums (washed) into a sterilized glass gallon jug. Add 2 1/2 cups sugar and a fifth or a quart of vodka. Shake well every morning and night for 2 weeks. Put away in a cool place for 2 months. Strain carefully through cheese cloth.
