HEIRLOOM FRUIT-NUT COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. walnuts
1 3/4 c. mixed candied fruits, chopped
2 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cloves
3/4 c. milk
1 c. raisins

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly; add eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Sift flour and salt, baking powder, and spices. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in nuts, raisins, and fruit. Stir thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Yields 5 dozen.
