MAPLE - BUTTER SNAPS 
3/4 c. soft butter
3/4 c. white sugar
1 egg
3/4 tsp. maple flavoring
2 1/3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and flavoring; beat well. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. Refrigerate 1 hour.

On a lightly floured surface roll half of dough 1/8 inch thick. With floured cookie cutter cut shapes. Place 1/2 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 6-8 minutes, or until edges are golden. Store in airtight container.
