SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
1/2 bushel tomatoes, quartered 5 med. size onions, chopped 1 tbsp. oregano 2 tbsp. basil 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. salt 2 hot peppers (include seeds) 1 green pepper 5 cloves garlic Mix all the above ingredients with the tomatoes. Boil 2 hours, run through a cylinder then put back on stove and let come to a boil for the second time. Add 1 cup of oil and 3 (12 oz.) cans of tomato paste. Cook 15 minutes and pour into hot jars and seal. |
