BLACKBERRY CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2 c. blackberries (juice and all)
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. cinnamon, cloves, or nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda in 1/2 c. water

ICING FOR CAKE (CARAMEL) :

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. canned cream
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix butter, brown sugar, and cream. Cook over direct heat until it bubbles. Add confectioners sugar; blend well. Add vanilla, mixing well.
