HARD CANDIES 
3 3/4 c. sugar
2 c. Karo syrup
1 c. water
Flavoring (cinnamon, peppermint, etc.)
Food color

Combine sugar, syrup and water in a large pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook to 325 degrees. Pour into a greased pan 11x15 inch or cookie sheet. Let cool. Break into pieces and roll in powdered sugar. Store in glass jars.
