Sweet and Sour Sausage Balls | |
4 lbs. bulk pork sausage 3 C ketchup 4 eggs slightly beaten 3/4 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c soft bread crumbs 1/2 c. white wine vinegar 1/2 c. soy sauce Mix together sausage, eggs and bread crumbs. Shape mixture into balls. Sauté in frying pan until browned on all sides. Drain. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Put sausage balls in large pot, pour sauce over, simmer for 30 min. stirring occasionally. Serve hot. Can be made ahead and, refrigerated or frozen in sauce. Reheat to serve. Makes about a 100. |
