SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. hamburger
1 egg
1 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. allspice, nutmeg and sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 grated onion and carrot
2 cans beef consomme
1 can beef broth

Combine hamburger, egg, crumbs, seasonings, onion and carrot. Mix well. Add 1/2 can beef broth. Make small balls and brown in butter. Add 2 cans of beef consomme and 1/2 can beef broth. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Remove meatballs and bring gravy to a boil. Add a white sauce to thicken. Return balls to gravy. Serve over mashed potato, rice or egg noodles.
