DEUTSCH DINNER 
5 slices bacon
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
Dash of pepper
1/2 c. water
2-3 tbsp. vinegar
6 c. peeled, cubed, cooked potatoes
1/2 lb. knockwurst, cut in 1/2 inch slices
1/2 c. chopped sweet pickles
1 tbsp. chopped pimento
1 hard cooked egg, sliced

In skillet, cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble. Reserve 1/4 cup fat. Cook onion in grease until tender. Blend in mayonnaise, salt, celery seed and pepper. Add water and vinegar. Cook and stir until bubbly. Add next 4 ingredients and bacon. Heat through tossing gently. Garnish with egg and parsley if desired. Serves 6.
