TURNIP SOUFFLE 
10 sm. turnips
2 carrots
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. bacon drippings, optional
Salt and pepper to taste
Bread crumbs

Boil turnips and carrots together until tender. Mash and add other ingredients. Place in greased casserole; top with bread crumbs.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. (Beat egg and mix with milk before adding to turnips and carrots.) Serves 6.
