PEPPER STEAK - MICROWAVED 
1 1/2 lbs. top round steak, cut into thin strips
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 green peppers, sliced
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
Tomato wedges, if desired

Place meat in a 2 quart glass casserole. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, add soy sauce. Stir in green pepper. Cover with glass lid or wax paper.

Microwave for 14 minutes on high. Combine cornstarch and water in small bowl until smooth; stir into meat mixture. Recover and continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes on high or until thickened. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh tomato wedges.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
