DOUGH-RA-ME-BISCUITS 
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour, sifted well
1 heaping tbsp. Crisco shortening
Milk

For Cheese Biscuits, add 1/4 cup grated cheese and follow recipe.

To the flour, add the Crisco and add milk slowly until you create a mixture the consistency of creamed potatoes. Drop by spoonfuls on a well-greased cookie sheet. Leave 2 or more inches between them. Bake in a preheated oven of 400 degrees back on center rack until they rise high. Then move to top rack and finish baking until they are browned.
